Supreme Supreme knows their way around a piece of toast. Renowned for some of the best toast in Ōtautahi, they’ve kindly shared one of their best recipes. Straight from the Supreme Supreme kitchen, here’s the lowdown on their simply delicious tomato toast.

First, whip up the tahini balsamic drizzle:
• 3 tbsp tahini
• 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• 1–2 tsp maple syrup or honey (your call, sweet tooth)
• 1 small garlic clove, minced (optional but adds a little kick)
• Salt and pepper to taste
• Add a splash of water to thin it out, if needed and give it a good old mix.

Now, to build the toast:
1. Toast your favourite bread.
2. Butter it up while it’s hot.
3. Spread over a generous layer of ricotta.
4. Lay down three slices of juicy tomato.
5. Drizzle with your tahini mix—and a bit more balsamic for that extra flair (optional but fancy).
6. Finish with crushed pistachios and a pinch of flaky salt.
