Meet Mark, our Order Fulfilment Leader at Wellington HQ. We recently caught him on a break from the daily grind to chat about work, and also not work.

Mark ensures our coffee is signed, sealed and delivered to all of our wonderful customers across New Zealand. He's our Scottish dispatch Dad, making sure there is always a fresh pot of coffee on for when his team arrive. And if you're up for a pint of Guinness, Mark's your guy (after work, of course).

Q: Hey Mark, can you walk us through a typical day in your role at Coffee Supreme?
A: My role is very hands-on so I like to get in early and get a pot brewing while I do some admin and get things ready for the day ahead. Normally I’ll have a chat with our roasting team to coordinate our day before we kick off getting the beans into bags and the bags out to customers. On any given day I can be delivering locally in the van, fulfilling web orders or packing supermarket orders and I love the variety. Thankfully I’ve got a great team with me and I can’t let this opportunity go without shouting them out.

Q: What are you drinking at the moment?
A: Brazil Fazenda Capadòcia. It’s really smooth and a perfect filter coffee in my opinion.

Q: Describe your ideal coffee ritual — how do you like to enjoy your cup of coffee?
A: When I have a morning free I like to have my coffee in bed. I drag myself up, prep a V60 into a handy thermal pot and return to my happy place to hide out for as long as possible.

Q:Where is your favourite spot to have a coffee in Wellington?
A: Hands down it has to be Goods. I religiously visit them every Saturday for tasty coffee and delicious pastries. They also happen to be very lovely people.

Q:You’re making a sandwich but can only use three ingredients. What’s in there?
A: A proper Scottish breakfast roll with square sausage, tattie scone and HP sauce.

Q: What are you doing when you're not at Supreme?
A: I’m a boring dad so I spend as much time as possible reading and listening to my records when I’m not hanging out with my family. Although I can be coxed out for a pint of Guinness.

Q: And lastly, if you could switch roles with anyone at Coffee Supreme for a day, who would it be and why?
A: I’d love to swap with Noah, our superstar coffee trainer and accounts manager. He’s really involved with our customers and at the front of what we do. He makes it look easy.

Thanks for the chat, Mark. We raise our mug to you for bagging those beans so well.
