This is a proud-as-punch kind of letter to announce that Coffee Supreme is now the official coffee partner of Air New Zealand, and well, we’re just grinning from ear to ear. Or nose to tail, if we were a plane. Which we’re not. But if we were, we’d be a very happy-looking one.
At Coffee Supreme, we’d be lying if we said we hadn’t been quietly working towards this day since our founder opened a little coffee shop called Reds in 1993.
For just over 30 years, we’ve clocked in to work and donned our Coffee Supreme hats; refining, sourcing, roasting, packing, supporting, innovating, training and growing; all this time with a poster of an Airbus A320 hung on the wall of our mind garage, hand-drawn hearts with ‘CS 4 Air NZ’ covering the page.
We’ve long admired Air New Zealand. Not just for how they’ve earned trust and affection from those who fly with them, or how they’ve come to be regarded as the gold standard in our skies, or even for the charming and witty safety videos that lift our heads back up to a 90-degree position. It’s all of these things and more. It’s no small feat, and their determination has fuelled ours, too.
So the next time you’re at 30,000 feet with a window seat, taking in a scorching view of Mount Taranaki, you’ll also have something warm and proudly local in your hands. That’s our coffee in that cup. And we couldn’t be prouder.
To our customers, our cafe partners, and our tirelessly dedicated team, thank you. Coffee Supreme would not be in the skies, served on the most beloved airline in the world, without your support.
To the team at Air New Zealand: thanks for trusting us with the coffee. We won’t let you down. We’re grounded in quality, even when you’re at cruising altitude.
Warmest regards,
Andrew Low
