About this Coffee

The Gachatha Farmers Cooperative Society was formed back in 1962 and is located on the slopes of the Aberdare mountain range. It operates as one of the most well established wet mills in the Nyeri region. The region has deep, fertile well-drained red volcanic soils which are ideal for coffee production. Handpicked ripe cherries are delivered daily to the wet mill during the harvest season, they are then sorted so only the ripest cherries pass through the mill. Gachatha offers a ripe mango and green tea aroma. Expect bright notes of blackcurrant and cocoa and a crisp citric acidity.
