About this Coffee

High up in the western highlands of Huehuetenango, Guatemala, you'll find Finca La Bolsa. The region is known for its high altitude, plentiful rainfall, lush shade and moderate temperatures which help to grow exceptional coffee. The coffees grown at Finca La Bolsa are unique, as each area produces coffee with its own distinct character due to the different microclimates found across the farm.

Finca La Bolsa was founded in 1958 by Jorge Vides. Since then, the farm has been handed down three generations to Maria Elena Vides and her son Renardo Ovalle. Over the years, we've worked closely with Renardo and visit the family yearly to taste the unique coffees that they grow.

Maria and Renardo's passion and hard work is proven in our newest filter coffee, La Libertad — which is sourced from the La Bolsa farm. With vibrant flavours of red apple and grapefruit, this coffee is one not to miss. Enjoy a crisp citric acidity complemented by a bittersweet chocolate finish.
